The store and its products

Sousleau is an online aquatic plant and aquarium supplies store hosted on Shopify. Sousleau distributes the Thrive range in Canada; product brands are distinct from our store’s identity.

Product descriptions specify characteristics, sizes and availability. Living plants naturally vary with growth and cultivation conditions. Images illustrate the product without guaranteeing identical shape, size or colour unless a characteristic is expressly stated.

Prices and payment

Unless stated otherwise, prices are in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes, discounts and shipping are shown before you confirm your purchase. Prices may change for future purchases; later website changes do not automatically change an already concluded order.

Check items, quantities, contact details and shipping address before confirming. Payments are processed by the services offered at checkout.

Availability and orders

If an ordered item becomes unavailable or a problem prevents fulfilment, we will contact you to agree on a solution. We will not substitute another product without your agreement. Amounts paid for cancelled, unfulfilled items will be refunded.

For corrections or cancellations, promptly email sales@sousleau.ca. Our ability to intervene depends on preparation status, subject to your legal rights.

Shipping and living plants

Destinations, charges, free-shipping thresholds, weather considerations and receipt instructions are set out in our shipping policy. When a cart contains a plant, one applicable plant rate covers the entire order without an additional equipment shipping charge. Orders without plants use calculated Canada Post / UPS rates.

Carrier delivery times are estimates. Plant dispatch may be postponed when weather prevents safe transport. Plants are not eligible for change-of-mind returns. DOA coverage and claims are described in our refund policy.

Advice and product use

Our guides and tools help you choose based on information you provide. They do not guarantee identical biological results in every aquarium. Follow labels, dosages, precautions and the needs of your plants and animals.

Accounts and retailers

Keep your contact details accurate and protect your account access. Report unauthorized use. Retailer access requires approval; professional pricing and conditions are communicated separately and do not automatically match retail terms.

Content and site use

Text, photography, artwork and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Commercial reproduction requires the appropriate permission. Fraud, malware, impersonation and unauthorized access attempts are prohibited.

External links are provided for reference and those sites have their own terms. Personal information submitted to Sousleau is handled under our privacy policy.

Applicable rights

These terms are interpreted under applicable Quebec and Canadian law without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their province or territory. Legal warranties and non-waivable remedies are preserved. If a clause is unenforceable, the others continue to apply as permitted by law.

Changes and contact

Terms may be revised for future use and purchases. The terms applicable when an order was placed remain the reference for that order, subject to mandatory legal requirements.
