Description
Cryptocoryne lutea is one of the particularly easy-care water goblet species from Sri Lanka. The new dwarf form Hobbit was isolated from a normal population in the greenhouse and further propagated in the laboratory. With a height of only a few centimeters, this water goblet is ideal for the smallest aquariums. The rate of growth is also significantly slower than that of the trunk form. In good lighting, the leaves turn an intense purple-brown color and form a nice contrast to other green foreground plants. I'm very happy with my cryptocoryne lutea 'hobbit'. It's bigger than I was expecting and very healthy. It's already starting to put out new leaves.
